Stop killing the darn civilians!

This is getting a bit ridiculous, both Israeli troops and Hamas militants need to stop killing each other, because in the process they manage to wreak havoc in the surrounding areas, killing civilians and destroying buildings. There is no way that the US government should even consider sending troops into the Gaza Strip. I know that America is supposed to be the great humanitarian nation who helps everyone, but the military is already stretched thin and cannot afford to be stretched any more. As for the economy, I can safely say that if the US gets involved it will collapse at an even greater rate. If for some reason this conflict stops the flow of oil out of the Middle East, it could be a wake up call for the world, prompting the faster implementation of alternative and renewable energies. If not for the high number of civilian casualties, I would  say just let the opposing sides fight it out like a pair of wolves struggling for alpha male status, but since the most popular weapons happen to involve explosives if the fighting continues the innocent will continue being harmed.
